Snow Devils Part 2

Hello Dear Readers, So the snow has come and gone.  It was only three inches and most of it melted by Wednesday. After the snow had finished falling I made a thorough investigation of the area surrounding my apartment.  I found no signs of devils or any other types of beasties. I did find an unsettling number of cat pawprints in the snow.  Circling around my building again and again.  Or perhaps they are from the 'not a real cat'.  Suspicious. As I ventured further out from my building in search of snow devils.  What I found an increased occurrence of the “Shh” graffiti.  I wonder if there is a correlation between strange events and the graffiti.  I will have to keep a log tracking graffiti and strange events occur.  I wish I knew what the vandal's purpose was.  What does he want us to be quiet about? I did see a lot of yellow snow writing of Jak-Jak’s name.  Interesting. I called Robyn but she hasn’t seen or heard of anything either.  We were both disappointed.

Snow Devils Part 1

Hello Dear Reader, When making one of my regular visits to the Steaming Mug I discovered another rare cryptid.  Kevin’s Crossing is like some kind of wonderful monster wildlife preserve here. The drink of the day was something called a ‘Snow Devil Latte’.  Being the kind of person that is drawn to the unknown, I was beside myself with excitement!  It's my two passion combined: stimulants and mystery. The Snow Devil Latte consists of : ·          Espresso ·          Steamed Milk ·          White Chocolate syrup ·          Red Hots Candy ·          Cracked Black Pepper on top Gemma was not at work and Vic had gotten back together with Jason.  So I was on my own.  Boo for days off work and reconsolidation. So after ordering my overpriced mystery beverage I sat down next to my new friend Casey and her co-workers, Sam and Robyn.  They work at an engineering firm nearby. They were all drinking Snow Devil Lattes.  I'm glad to see Casey out and about again. Yusuf s

Newt's Hand

Hello Dear Readers, Today I met Yusuf for lunch at a bar founded by his great-grandfather Joseph.  I’ve been trying to talk to my four new friends about the Elevator Game and the Vandal.  Most of them seem hesitant to discuss it.  Every time I bring it up Yusuf says he needs a drink. But he said that if I stopped asking him about it he would tell me a story about his great-grandfather and a strange encounter that he had.  So my persistence paid off again! The bar is called the Newt’s Hand and I have never heard of it before.  But Treasure Town has a high bar to person ratio, so I’m sure it’s easy to miss.  The bar was established by Yusuf’s great-grandfather, Joseph, back in the 50’s.  Apparently, it was a rough neighborhood even then.  Now one of his cousin's runs the bar while Yusuf works as a software engineer over in Telford. We met for 'lunch’ so he could tell me about why his grandfather opened and how it got its name.  Considering the part of town it's in, I

Another Quick Update

Hello Dear Readers, This morning began like all the previous ones, with the soothing voice of Kimberley Valentine on the radio.  I keep my radio on a table by the window.  When I went to turn it on I noticed the dumpster in the parking lot below had a ‘Shh’ graffiti tag on it.  It seems the Vandal is getting closer.  Perhaps I should put some tea on for him. I’ll keep you updated!

Quick Update

Hello Dear Readers, In the few days since the incident at the Palms Apartments, I have noticed an increased number of “Shhh” graffiti tags around town.  Fascinating! Also, I have to had to start unplugging my art deco lamp at night because when I wake up in the morning the mystery bulb is always turned on.  Perhaps there is a problem with the wiring, or magic. I’ll keep you updated.

Elevator Game

Hello Dear Readers! I’m going to temporarily one of the founding concepts of this blog talk about somewhere other than Kevin's Crossing.  Instead, I am going to report the exploration of an urban legend in the neighboring town of Telford!  The urban legend is not specific to Telford, a matter of fact it originated in Korea but it requires a ten story building and the newly constructed luxury shopping and apartments, the Tiamat Luxury Shops, and Apartments, in Telford is the only building in the county that’s tall enough(Progress!). It turns out that having friends is great.   They can introduce you to other friends and then you have more friends! So Vic, my friend from Urgent Care, has a brother, Steve, who has a wife, Karen, who has a cousin, Annette, who has a group of friends.  They were planning to play something called the Elevator Game.  When Vic heard about it, he thought it would be right up my alley.  So he had his sister-in-law do the introductions. Annette, Yus
