Mystery Bulb Experiment - Tomato Plant Update

Hello Dear Readers,     With great excitement, I tell you that I fear that my closet may have been taken over by the former tomato plant, now the purple slimy pod plant, Suzie 2.  I’ve never actually seen it move, but the pods are in different positions every time I check on it.  I’ve been keeping a chair pressed up against the door for safety.  I would consider this experiment a success.  Though it doesn’t really tell me anything about the mystery bulb.  Other than long-term exposure has horrific effects on tomato plants.  Mysteries!     I’m trying to decide if I should kill the plant or release it into the wild.  If it can survive on normal sunlight, it could possibly cause an ecological disaster.  Decisions, decisions.     Also, I’ve been getting delicious cherry tomatoes off of the control plant by the window.  So it's win-win.     I’ll keep you updated!

Solar Eclipse

Hello Dear Readers, I usually stay pretty up to date on the happenings in the universe, local and in general.  But things in Kevin's Crossing have kept me so preoccupied lately that I was caught unaware when a relatively large scale event took place in our solar system.  A solar eclipse!  An event where the moon comes between the Earth and the sun, blocking out the sun's light, turning day into night, albeit briefly.  A perfect setting for all sorts of shenanigans to take place! I found myself completely unprepared to document this event.  When I asked Robyn why she didn't mention it to me, she shrugged and said she thought I was on it. But I digress, let's go over all the strange happenings reported by the citizens of Kevin's Crossing during the solar eclipse yesterday.  The most exciting of which I will save for last.  The return of someone who has not graced this blog for far too long.  None of these reports are from me since I was taking a nap at the time

Library

Hello Dear Readers,     Now that some time has passed since the Vandal’s existence failure, I feel that I'm once again of sound enough mind to return to my investigation into the strange underbelly of Kevin's Crossing.  With no further progress on the strange codex, my tomato and former-tomato monster-plant-thing continuing to grow, and the graffiti situation at a standstill, I’ve decided to take this intermission to find out more about Kevin’s Crossing's history.  Specifically the year 1887!  The year the mysterious treaty between an unknown number of mysterious beings mysteriously took place.  So it’s back to the Newton Historical Society and my good buddy Dolores!  Hooray for books!  Also, hopefully, I will get a look at the drawing of the Snow Devil footprint Robyn told me about. Part 1 I headed out early since it is a considerable walk and I did not have money for bus fare.  Upon arriving at the Historical Society it looked exactly as I remembered.  Except th

Mystery Bulb Experiment - Tomato Plant update

Hello Dear Readers,     It seems that rumors the end of the mystery bulb tomato plant experiment were greatly exaggerated!  The plant underneath the mystery bulb continued to wither and die.  I thought that would be it.  Experiment over.  But when I went over to throw it away I realized that strange pods had sprouted from the soil.  Shiny purple pods!  Poking out of the soil, like they’re reaching up for the light!  I can only hope some sort of mutant plant monstrosity grows in the closet! I think I will name it Susan Two.  Haha. If that wasn’t exciting enough, soon the other plant will be giving me cherry tomatoes! I’ll keep you updated!
