Codex

Hello Dear Readers, I have a confession to make, I have been a bit of an unreliable narrator.  I always try to be on the up and up with you but I have failed to be completely honest with about some current events.  In all honesty, I needed to time to do research and make sense of what I discovered before I shared it with you.  Boy, was it worth it! The other week I told you about the mystery man the appeared in Ziggy’s Mini Mart then suddenly died.  I also mention that later on when I was able to view the mini mart’s security tapes it liked there was a shadow moving in two frames of the tape that couldn’t be accounted for.  So the next day I walked down to there and had a look around.  Despite what had recently happened there it didn’t feel strange or unusual.  Just the same old mini-mart. I stood in the exact spot where he collapsed.  It was eerily.  I looked in the direction I thought I saw the shadow move in the tape.  Standing there was an Icee machine, a standby for every m

Pharmacy or Otto's Tale

Hello Dear Readers, I still find myself out of sorts.  I haven’t had it into any exploring or investigations.  I’ve simply been watching the tomato plants grow (more on that next time) and listening to the radio.  The idea that the Vandal has been murdered, possibly by some other player in this game that is just barely coming to light is deeply unsettling.  Seeing as how I don’t even know what the stakes are. Fortunately, Otto has been asking me about writing a guest-post since I revealed to my friends that this blog does indeed exist.  I was apprehensive at the idea of letting anyone work on this blog but me, but he has been insistent. He claims to have many stories relevant to this from his many years he spent living on the streets, like that of Horatio Grey.  Since I find myself in no condition to write anything of my own and if I'm hi invest about it, he different if it from someone telling me a story and then writing it down? So why not mix things up! Surprisingly,

Death of the Vandal

Hello Dear Readers, While at the Steaming Mug today I was reading a newspaper that someone kindly left on a table.  I saw a headline that seemed merely tragic and curious but turned out to be astonishing.  The title on page three read ‘Unidentified Man Killed in Car Accident’.  Obviously, I’m always on the lookout for keywords like ‘unknown’, ‘unexplained’, and ‘cheese-filled’.  When I started reading the article I got the shock of a lifetime. The article said that an unidentified man had been struck by a car at approximately 3:00 am, two days prior.  The driver of the car fled the scene and has yet to be found. The man had dark hair and eyes and was of an indeterminate ethnicity.  He is approximately 25 - 35 years old.  He is 5 ft. 8 in tall and 145 pounds.  He had no ID on him and the only possessions found at the scene where a baseball cap, a pair of sunglasses and a can of red spray paint!  It could only be the Vandal. I’m not really sure how to process this.  I assumed th

Mystery Bulb Experiment - Tomato Plant

Hello Dear Readers, After my recent experience with Horatio Grey, I decided not to go waving my flashlight around out in the open anymore.  But I still have so many questions about the mystery bulb.  So I decided to conduct a series of experiments.  I purchased a table lamp that will accommodate the mystery bulb and two tomato plants.  One a placed on a table in front of the window, next to the radio, to act as a control.  The other tomato plant I put in a closet under the mystery bulb.  It has been a week since the experiment started, so far not much has happened with either plant.  No observable differences yet!  But I’m sure something weird and unusual is about to spout! I’ll keep you updated!
